I love this way more than the other focusing apps I've tried. The threat of disappointing a cute bean is incredibly effective. I also very rarely pay for app subscriptions but I absolutely did with this app. The bean's decorations are adorable and I want to collect all of the sets. Outside of the UI, I 100% have a phone addiction I've been trying to fend off. Im back to reading with Kala's help. Thanks Hank ❤️

I love this little app! It is the perfect incentive to leave my phone alone while I'm focused on other things. One of the best uses so far has been setting it for 15-30 minutes when I'm crawling in bed. It helps me not pick up my phone and do all the last-minute things I think of and then end up distracted and awake until 2:00 am. I get to settle well and still have my phone at arms reach when I wake up or if there is an emergency.

Love that there are no specific tasks needed! This app is just a click the focus button and start working on any task. I just did the dishes and was thinking "wow this took way longer than 15 mins, I wonder if my bean kept working and made giant socks?" only to find that the dishes took 10 mins and now had to go work on something else.

Lovely! I find it totally usable and helpful as-is, but there are some features I'd like to see added. The main one is the ability to see how far past the focus timer you are. As someone wirh adhd, the focus timer is also helpful for figuring out how much time a task actually takes, but this doesn't work if I outlast the timer. I understand not letting the additional time count towards socks, but showing it somehow would be great. Also, I'd like to preview the decor in the room before purchase!

Using this to help break the habit of looking at my phone at red lights, and man, I did not expect it to be as effective as it is! I can tap through other locks no problem, but not this lil guy! The human ability to anthropomorphize and bond with inanimate objects is insane. I don't want to disappoint a blob of pixels. What is going on.

EDIT: my suggestions were addressed in updates!! Easy 5 stars now. The app is very cute, and I love the idea and the UI. One thing though is my phone screen turns off automatically when I'm not using it, meaning the focus music also turns off and I'm not sure if the timer continues running. Otherwise love it!

As a test, I set a five minute timer, then watched YouTube on my phone for five minutes and came back. It didn't interrupt the timer and still gave me socks. As far as I can tell, it's just a glorified timer app. If I can still do whatever I want on my phone and it doesn't affect the app, then how is it supposed to help me focus? Unless you really enjoy the song on the app, it seems to require the same amount of impulse control as putting your phone down. Make leaving the app interrupt bean.

I love the fact that the timer keeps going if you have it in the background, because I need my phone for all kinds of stuff, and only count the use of certain apps as distracting. I'm sure a lot of people want y'all to change this, either cuz they can't trust themselves to tell the bean to stop knitting, or they can't remember/can't be bothered to switch it off every time, but this feature makes it usable for me. If changed, could you please make it toggle-able, so everyone can use the bean?

Very cute, simple UI, no personal data taken or ads or obstructive banners to buy premium. One big drawback: the app is able to run in the background in it's base focus mode, allowing you to continue to scroll while knitting, unfortunately nullifying the app's intention. Needs to at the minimum freeze the app when running in the background. I use ScreenZen, an extremely good app for blocking other apps on a timer- maybe you should fuse your apps together lol

I just want to make my bean friend happy. His name is Beanothan. Super relaxing music, super cute and warm fuzzy art. It's hard to focus, but tricks like this can go a long way to help with that. Thanks for the app! Looking forward to decking out my room, hopefully it will be cool beans (ba dum tss).
